The title refers to Odyssey Folk Club which used to be in Southend-on-Sea. I started going there regularly about 1979 and it was seeing some of the guest artists there, in particular Dick Gaughan (who showed me my first alternative tuning) and Rosie Hardman, that really got me away from trying to sound earnest like Dylan and onto the path of playing and songwriting I have followed since. Happy times!
